Dear Ari,
Wow!! What an emotional 1st year it has been! It feels like just yesterday that I was being wheeled down to the NICU to meet you. You have no idea how much you have helped us this year - your gentle spirit has helped us get through some major bumps in the road. It has been amazing watching your grow and develop and I cant wait to see what you do next!
Stats:
Height: 26.75"
Weight: 16 lbs 7 oz
Teeth: 4
New skills: standing without support, saying dada and mama, clapping a lot, laughing at funny things, confident up the stairs, bear walking when you dont like how something feels on your knees
June seems to be a month where lots of things end, so we had lots of celebrations things month. We sadly said goodbye to our Roots of Empathy class and had a warp up party with some of the babies in the group.
The weather has been super sunny, and then rainy, so we have been out enjoying the sun when we can. You are "hit and miss" at the water park, some days you enjoy it and others you just crawl away from the water.
We went to Parksville for a mini vacation this month, with friends. Unfortunately, right before the trip daddy hurt his knee, so moving around was tough for him. The weather wasn't exactly the best for us, but we made it work! You enjoyed being on the sand and exploring this new texture.
You, Willow, Asher, Kate and Ayla had a fun morning exploring in the low tide. You saw crabs, sand dollars, a jelly fish and lots of shells.
A quick trip to Coombs to see the goats on the roof, the market, sculptures and of course ice cream! You ate lots of ice cream - you couldn't decide which one you liked best!

The BIG thing that happened this month was that you turned 1!!! You had 2 parties and everyone was so happy to come and celebrate with you and see how much you are thriving!
You even stood for a long time - we all thought you might take your first unassisted steps.
The kids party was at gymnastics and even though you were a cranky pants, you hadn't napped well, you still had a super fun time playing with your friends.
This is how you ended the party - all smiles!!
Then you got to smash a cake!!! You actually did a decent job of this and weren't scared of it, or getting messy. You enjoyed trying the cake, icing and the bubble bath at the end!
It has been amazing watching you grow, develop and learn this year and we cant wait to see whats next!
Love you Bubs!

Music ended as well. You really enjoyed playing (and eating) all of the instruments. We also loved going to the play cafe with Finley after classes.

You love pushing anything that moves around!
Ayla had sports day at school and you and mommy went to watch and cheer her on. She was so proud to have you there with her. After, you guys played in the back yard very nicely together.
You love coming to the gym with mommy, and Marc has promised to teach you everything he knows!

Auntie Maya and uncle Eyal came in for a quick visit to mark the one year anniversary of Safta passing, according to the Jewish calendar. While the occasion wasnt the best, it was nice to see them and spend some time with them.
You really enjoyed eating watermelon with Ayla on the grass at their house!
