4 months
Dear Ari,
Its been 4 months since you surprised us with your early entrance into this world. We are getting to know you and your personality and so far you seem super curious and laid back! You are starting to really notice things and smile at things that you like. You have started to do some more consistent night sleeps (yeah!) and we are starting to get you on a schedule. You seem to like to nap every 2 hours or so - you eat, play and the sleep at around the 2 hr mark.
Stats:
Height: 22.75"
Weight: 11 lbs 8 oz
New skills: starting to reach for toys, giggling, rolling tummy to back consistently, standing with support and smiling at things you like
Your sister still adores you, although she does get a little but jealous when mom and dad spend time with you instead of her. She loves giving you hugs in the am and she asks to touch you and give you lots of kisses. If she forgets to give you a kiss before bed or before we leave her at daycare it makes her very upset. She also insisted that you guys have matching pyjamas, so mommy had to buy some for you both!
The weather was so nice so days that mommy took advantage of the light to take some great pictures of you! I love your sweet little face and all your expressions. Daddy was also able to get you to giggle - so far you only giggle for dad!
We also spent some days and evenings at the park. I decided to try you in a swing...and you loved it! You really enjoyed swinging back and forth in the cool air.
Bath is still your favourite time of the day and the time where you and daddy get some good quality time together. Usually after a quick evening nap, you start to get a but fussy and we know its time for bath. As soon as daddy takes you and starts walking towards the stairs you get all happy and excited for bath time.
You are still SUPER strong and prefer to be upright, although you are doing better at tummy time these days. You can lift you head up super high and can roll easily from tummy to back.
Here are your weekly pictures from this month.
Love you Bubbuh!

For the last 2 years, mommy has done to Run for the Cure, this year we did it as a family and did the 1km walk. It was a bit of an emotional day remembering your Safta, whom you will never meet, but it was a great day for a great cause.
Before the rains came, we decided that we needed to take you to your first pumpkin patch trip. We met up with Laura and Mabel and had a great day at the Port Kells Nursery. You weren't happy about it, but you tolerated mommy putting you in all the displays to get some pictures.

Ayla decided one day that needed to wear shoes and not just fuzzy socks - so we did! They matched your outfit perfectly...because that's how we roll around here!
We had our first Roots of Empathy class this month too! This is such a great program and I'm so glad that you get to be a teacher in it! We are in a grade 5/6 class and the kids just LOVED meeting you!! They asked such great questions and genuinely wanted to know everything about you! We probably could have stayed all day!
