3 Months

Dearest Ari,

The time just keeps going faster and faster! We love how you have perfectly completed our family. You are super chill, and really only fuss if you are hungry, over tired or have a poopy diaper. You seem to be getting into a routine where you nap after being up fro around 2 hours or so. At night you are starting to do longer stretches - some nights even 4-6 hours. You don't seem to mind being dragged around where ever your sister needs to go and bath is still  a highlight of every day!

Height - 22.5"
Weight - 10lbs 10 oz

New skills: sitting and standing with help, smile :)

We are enjoying getting out and having with our friends. We are still going to baby time om Tuesdays and we get to see our friends. Here you are with Emma (born Aug 31) and Carter (born June 28). You are Carter were NICU neighbours so it nice to see you both doing so well. You love being there and seeing all the other babies!


 Your sister loves playing with you, even if you aren't quite ready to play back with her. She loves giving you cuddles and sitting on the couch with you.

 

The weather has been very nice and we have spent a lot of time outside. You LOVE being outside. You enjoy walks in the stroller and the carrier. You often fall asleep in both of them. You slept through your first visit to the beach!





You have a very expressive face and we love seeing all your emotions coming out - we are still waiting for your first smile. We have decided that even covered in puke, you are still pretty damn cute! You are on meds for your reflux, you dont like it and have figured out ways to avoid taking it - too smart for your own good.



We went to another 2 Whitecaps games. You love being in the carrier and sleep through most of the action.  You hate wearing your headphones - a necessary evil when the stadium gets loud after a goal though.


While you are getting better at tummy time, and have rolled over a couple times, you really enjoy sitting and standing. When we put you on the couch by yourself, you often sit for a few seconds and then fall on your face. You seem to like being upright - standing with help and sitting with help/ 



For your sister's upcoming birthday, we did family photos. You were a rock star and super happy the whole time. You even looked at the camera a lot!





We ahve been awaiting  A LONG time for a smile and you finally gave us one - on the last day before you turned 4 months. You smiled for daddy and melted his heart!

Dearest Ari, These months are going by faster and faster - time needs to slow down!!! You have no idea how much joy and love you have brought to our family! You are laid back, easy going and your smile just melts all of our hearts - and you giggle, that's the best!!! Dear Ari, Its been 4 months since you surprised us with your early entrance into this world. We are getting to know you and your personality and so far you seem super curious and laid back! You are starting to really notice things and smile at things that you like. You have started to do some more consistent night sleeps (yeah!) and we are starting to get you on a schedule. You seem to like to nap every 2 hours or so - you eat, play and the sleep at around the 2 hr mark. Stats: Height: 22.75" Weight: 11 lbs 8 oz New skills: starting to reach for toys, giggling, rolling tummy to back consistently, standing with support and smiling at things you like  Your sister still adores you, although she does get a little but jealous when mom and dad spend time with you instead of her. Dear Ari, Wow! Time is sure flying by and I cant believe that you are 6 months already - it feels like you have been here for so much longer. You have brought so much love and joy into our family at a time when we really needed it. Stats: Height: 23.5" Weight:12 lbs 15oz New skills:  jumping in the jolly jumper, "talk" REALLY loudly,  talking in a "breathy" voice when happy, sitting in the shopping cart, almost sitting by your self and you are sooooo close to rolling from back to tummy This month you have been working a lot on your sitting - you are super close to sitting alone. You love sitting in the Bumbo and watching us eat and you enjoyed trying to sit in the shopping cart (even though you didn't last too long). Auntie Maya and Noa were still here and you spent some time with your cousin. Ayla loved that mommy bought everyone the same pajamas.
