8 months

Dear Ari, 

This month you have started to become very aware of things and people around you and what makes you laugh - sometimes at things that you are doing on your own. You are very social, love going and spending time with your friends - although you often make them cry with your high pitch squeal!

Weight: 14lbs 7oz

New skills:  eating more foods, rolling by tucking your knees under you, rolling to get where you want to go, giggling at things you find funny, up on all fours, clicking with your tongue, grabbing toys that you want

Ayla continues to be the person you respond to most - no one can make you laugh the way that she can. You two just love each other. She loves being around you, playing with you and feeding you. 


You are super curious and love to be part of everything that is happening - even if it means sitting in the bumbo while people are playing around you. In the stroller you love checking out the world around look and looking at the things on our walks.  


Food continues to be an adventure with you. You are happy to put food it, it just doesn't always stay in your mouth. You are getting much better at grabbing the food that you want to eat with both hands. You are messy, but it doesn't seem to bother you! 





You celebrated your first Valentine's Day by wearing a red shirt. 


We got another big dump of snow, that we really weren't expecting. You seemed to enjoy being outside in it. You and mommy took a fall down the back stairs, thankfully only mommy was hurt. We went to the park to play and you loved sitting on the toboggan with Ayla and then going on the swing - which is your favourite thing to do. The snow was so high that you almost touched it while swinging.




You are sitting up very well by yourself now! You hardly ever tip over any more. You enjoy trying new experiences and are starting to explore the world with your mouth (blah). The shirt you are wearing says it all ' happy, little and loud". You are all 3 of those things - especially when you decide to scream really loudly for no reason.



You big sister absolutely adores you! She is so proud of you and she loves when you wear "brother" clothing. No one can make you laugh like she can!

Here you are playing peek a boo with a blanket and a box. 




You are starting to explore the world more - by being up on all 4's. You havent started to move yet, but its coming any day now! We took you to the Purim carnival at the JCC and you tried to ride this awesome bike!

 

You have also started to make clicking noises with your tongue. Its super cute! 

This month you reached a significant milestone - you have been out as many weeks as you were in :) Despite being 6 weeks early - you are thriving and doing an amazing job keeping up to all your friends.

Dearest Ari, These months are going by faster and faster - time needs to slow down!!! You have no idea how much joy and love you have brought to our family! You are laid back, easy going and your smile just melts all of our hearts - and you giggle, that's the best!!! Stats: Height: 23.5" Weight: 12 lbs 6oz New Skills: Giggling at things (mostly Ayla jumping), sitting up with help (and a bit alone), swimming, kicking in bath, sitting in bumbo, standing while leaning on things, starting to "talk and you like to slam your legs down. Dear Ari, Its been 4 months since you surprised us with your early entrance into this world. We are getting to know you and your personality and so far you seem super curious and laid back! You are starting to really notice things and smile at things that you like. You have started to do some more consistent night sleeps (yeah!) and we are starting to get you on a schedule. You seem to like to nap every 2 hours or so - you eat, play and the sleep at around the 2 hr mark. Stats: Height: 22.75" Weight: 11 lbs 8 oz New skills: starting to reach for toys, giggling, rolling tummy to back consistently, standing with support and smiling at things you like  Your sister still adores you, although she does get a little but jealous when mom and dad spend time with you instead of her. She loves giving you hugs in the am and she asks to touch you and give you lots of kisses. If she forgets to give you a kiss before bed or before we leave her at daycare it makes her very upset. Dear Ari, Wow! Time is sure flying by and I cant believe that you are 6 months already - it feels like you have been here for so much longer. You have brought so much love and joy into our family at a time when we really needed it. Stats: Height: 23.5" Weight:12 lbs 15oz New skills:  jumping in the jolly jumper, "talk" REALLY loudly,  talking in a "breathy" voice when happy, sitting in the shopping cart, almost sitting by your self and you are sooooo close to rolling from back to tummy This month you have been working a lot on your sitting - you are super close to sitting alone. You love sitting in the Bumbo and watching us eat and you enjoyed trying to sit in the shopping cart (even though you didn't last too long). Auntie Maya and Noa were still here and you spent some time with your cousin. Ayla loved that mommy bought everyone the same pajamas.
