5 Months
Dearest Ari,
These months are going by faster and faster - time needs to slow down!!! You have no idea how much joy and love you have brought to our family! You are laid back, easy going and your smile just melts all of our hearts - and you giggle, that's the best!!!
Stats:
Height: 23.5"
Weight: 12 lbs 6oz
New Skills: Giggling at things (mostly Ayla jumping), sitting up with help (and a bit alone), swimming, kicking in bath, sitting in bumbo, standing while leaning on things, starting to "talk and you like to slam your legs down.
We have been enjoying a mild fall, and getting to the park as often as we can. You enjoy going in the swing and playing on the ground in the leaves.
As Halloween was coming, mommy had some fun with you in a pumpkin. You enjoyed it...until you didn't. Jim and Karen got a good laugh out of this too!
Our favourite Tuesday morning group sadly came to an end Oct 31. Saying goodbye to the nurses at Public Health was hard as they were there for us with you and Ayla. Thankfully the group is continuing on Thursdays and the nurses, Terri and Janet will be stopping by.
Shortly after Halloween, we had our first snowfall of the year. I took you and Ayla out to play in it - you werent overly impressed with the cold stuff I put you on. We were back inside shortly after these pics were taken.
After months of watching your sister swim, we decided you needed to go in too! You had so much fun, didnt mind being dunked and didnt want to leave! It was like a giant bath tub to you!
Sabah came back to Vancouver (for a short time) and auntie Maya, Noa and Eyal also came. Eyal was just here briefly, but we had some good visits with Maya and Noa while they visited.
We started our holiday celebrations with a trip to Glow. While you were awake, you enjoyed looking at the bright lights and you were even held by a princess!
Love you Bubs!

Your first Halloween was awesome - it didnt rain!! You dressed up as lion and rode in the stroller as your sister (Snow White) got lots of candy. Next year you will get it!

We went on our first family vacation, a long weekend trip to Nanaimo. While you slept a lot, while you were awake you enjoyed checking out all the new things - especially outside. On the ferry ride there, you enjoyed looking out the big windows and seeing the ocean. This trip was really special as you uncle, aunt and cousin came and stayed in the cabin right next to us. It was a lot of fun to have more family to hang out with.
The ferry ride home was a bit of a gong show, but you were a trooper. We had reservations on a 10:00 boat, that was cancelled, and we had to spend 5 hours in the ferry terminal waiting. thankfully, yiu werent too cranky and did ok while waiting to get home.

You had your second hospital trip this month too :( You were super fussy and when we took your temperature, it was 39, which is high. Mommy took you to the hospital and after a 3 hour stay, and lots of test (blood work, urine sample and chest x-ray) they decided you had a virus. Thankfully you were able to get better in a day or two.
This month, you have found your voice! You like to squeal loudly and often, often at 3 in the morning. Along with your "chatter" you have also found your feet - and you like to slam them down loudly in bed!

Here are your monthly growth pictures!
Love you Bubs!
