1 Month
Dear Ari,
Its crazy to think that its been 1 month since you entered the world and that we are still not even at your due date yet! We knew we wouldn't make it to 40 weeks, but we didnt except you so soon. You have changed our lives in the best way possible and we love you so much!
Stats:
Height: 19"
Weight: 7lbs 10 oz
The first 12 days of your life, you were in Pod 2, room 18 at the NICU in Surrey. The nurses there loved you...you were "the easy one". There were lots of comments about how you "acted older" and "seemed advanced" for your gestational age...mommy just thinks you are smart :) Ayla and daddy came to visit you most days in the NICU. Ayla LOVED you right away and she was so happy to be a big sister.

Every Dr or nurse who came in (and visitors) always commented on how much hair you had! We think its pretty cute too! When Granny came to meet you, she commented on how you look just like mommy did when she was first born. After pulling out the albums, she was correct!
As the little brother of a busy big sister you got taken to lots of places your first month - gymnastics, grocery shopping, parks and more. Thank goodness you like your car seat and transfer well into and out of it! You even went to your first Whitecaps game. You slept through most of it, but like Ayla, you hate the headphones!
Here are the pics of you growing this month...

Before they all went back to Toronto, we were able to get a picture of you and all your cousins. Your Saba was very happy to have this picture taken.
Mommy brought you home the afternoon of July 7th after convincing the doctors that you didnt need another 24 hrs in the hospital. You came home and adjusted to life at home fairly quickly keeping your feeding every 3 hr schedule that the NICU put you on. Your big sister LOVES you and she wants to do everything that she can to help with you!
2 days after you came home we did a photo shoot with you. Here are some of mommy's favourite pics! You were awake the WHOLE time, like your sister, you dont want yo miss out on anything!
